Verizon FiOS is a service
providing Internet and TV service in some areas of the United States.
Fiber-optic
systems have been available for years for long-haul, inter-city, or large
businesse that required data transfer, Verizon is currently the only
telecomunnications that offer fiber-optic services all the way to consumers
homes.
At present approximately 2.7 million homes have FiOS access.
Verizon FiOS is available in the following states: California,
Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, New
Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas,
Virginia and Washingon.
